These lightning rods were from a historic building in North Carolina. I purchased them without a plan. Finally it hit me, wall art! I decided on black walnut as the wood type, but was undecided on how to mount them. I found copper coated mounts used by plumbers for pipes. To get the look, I patinated the copper using ammonia fumes. The look was perfect. They sold in three weeks! Waiting for another building in NC that is being dismantled for more rods!
