Why The Wax Seal?

Many years ago, on a trip to Italy with my parents, I purchased a scorpion stamp to be used with red wax on the back of an envelope. You will find a red wax scorpion seal on the back of each piece of wood that I complete. This authenticates any work that comes from my shop. Also, there is a month and year punched into the wood signifying when the piece was completed.
